Pitti Bimbo Report – January 2019

At the end of January, we attended Pitti Bimbo in Florence, Italy which was our first participation for this great show! Pitti Bimbo is the biggest children fashion trade show organized by Pitti Immagine. Compared to Playtime Paris, Pitti Bimbo has a lot more big and luxurious brands including the brands with the tradition of ‘Made in Italy’. The show is especially popular among Italian buyers: at this edition 4,000 of the 6,400 visiting buyers was from Italy.

KKAMI was located at KidzFizz, called the hall of creativity. In this section, you could find the brands with the soul of experimenting with shapes and materials. This concept lab is in fact one of the most popular sections at the show where buyers come to discover new and upcoming brands. As a few of the selected Asian brands among all well-known European brands, we brought Lala and Eepple to Pitti Bimbo.

It came as no surprise that Lala also impressed the Italian buyers at the show. Many of them hadn’t seen the brand before and for most of them it was love at first sight with Lala’s popular rabbit suits. This bestselling product was included in each new order we received at the show.

Eepple, which is relatively a young brand, presented its collection with a full harmony of modern and vintage. The mix and match of simple and traditional designs with an oriental sense caught quite of positive attention from key magazines and bloggers. With Eepple’s big ambition on expanding their presence in the global market, we will continue to help Eepple to position successfully.

In general, this show was a great opportunity for us to meet with so many new Italian buyers who haven’t had a chance to meet us online. We were also very pleased to introduce our brands and business to potential buyers from other regions including the Middle East and Southern part of Europe. We look back on a great time in Florence and so Pitti Bimbo is now very high on our shortlist of shows for this Summer.
