Custom Designs
Here we go into the process of having your own Korean clothing designs made through KKAMI.
- Minimum order: roughly 30 pieces per size per color per design
- Lead time: roughly 1 to 3 months
- Fee: sample fee and cost of shipping swatches and samples
Private Label
You select an existing design and we customize it to your wishes. Customizations could be changes to the fit, adding more sizes, changing the length, adding a print, etc.
Choose this option when you want to improve one of your bestselling KKAMI products and sell it under your own name.
OEM
This stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. In this approach you create your own design from scratch and we get it manufactured for you.
This is only suitable for experienced fashion retailers with in-house designers or previous OEM experience.
Process
How to make your own design?
Design ideas
You send us product samples or photos of designs that you’d like to make. It doesn’t have to be a finished design yet. We have a convenient form you can download and use.
Cost: If you have design samples available then we would like to receive them. We can send you a Fedex shipping label for the shipment, but you will be asked to pay the shipping cost. Of course you may also arrange your own shipping if you have a cheaper option available.
Fabric selection
We send you over fabric swatches that fit your design ideas or closely match your design samples. We will offer several options and you pick the one that you like best.
Cost: We need to spend quite a lot of time and effort to find the right fabrics but we will gladly put in that time and pay for the fabric samples. You will only be asked to pay the shipping cost.
Price quotation
We will quote you a price for the designs and fabric that you wish to proceed with. You can expect the cost per product to be similar to the wholesale pricing on the KKAMI site.
We can also make an estimate on the shipping cost.
Samples
We will make the sample before the actual manufacturing starts and we need your formal approval on the sample before we can manufacture the product.
Cost: To make samples, we need to pay a sampling fee to the pattern maker and factory, which will be charged to you at $325.56 per style. If the actual manufacturing is decided to go on, then $162.78 will be refunded but if you drop the project after sampling, then none of the $325.56 will be refunded. Once the sampling is started and sampling fee is paid, any further changes to the design will result in extra sampling fees. This does not include the cost of having the samples shipped to you with Fedex.
Down payment
We require a 50% down payment on the order before manufacturing starts. Production starts as soon as the payment is confirmed and after that we can no longer cancel or change the order.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing usually take takes about 1 month. For special projects that require extra work (like packaging or attaching swing tags) it can take a little longer.
Shipping
Products will be shipped to you as soon as they are available.
Final payment
A final invoice will be issued as soon as the products are shipped. The unpaid balance needs to be settled within 7 days.
